I stole some of these questions from the Pittsburgh boards and others from those silly chain emails I always get, feel free to add new questions. Since we have unlimited editing time each person can keep up-to-date their own intro entry without having to make multiple posts (i.e. each person should only have one intro). This is open to anyone, you don't have to live in Rochester to contribute to this thread - just make sure to fill in your city so we know where you're posting from. I thought this might be a fun way for people to get to know each other.

Name one person from your past you wish you could go back and talk to: As a genealogist, I find this question impossible to answer. There are so many ancestors I would love to be able to ask questions of so I can continue researching my family tree.

Favorite breakfast? Cinnamon raisin bagel, scrambled eggs and a glass of orange juice. Although I normally only have time for a can of SlimFast or glass of Carnation Instant Breakfast.
Do you like your job? Sure, what's not to like (except for the pay)! Play all day, change a few dirty diapers and attempt to keep the house clean.
When do you plan to retire? I don't think I have that option...
What is one thing you have never done before that you would like to do: Travel to UK/Europe.

Misc. Stuff: I have a BFA in fine art, with concentrations drawing and ceramics to be exact but have sense sorta found myself neck high in costuming. Pondering going back to school for a degree in theatrical costume design, we’ll see. I’m a member of the 501st Legion (NER and the Rebel Legion (Echo Base) and value all the incredible friendships I’ve made through both of those groups and in FanForce. It seriously is like an extended family to me and I’m so blessed to be able to be involved with it (even if it’s not as often as I’d like).

Misc. Stuff: I am a pop culture / Sci Fi / movie Geek. I dwell on cool stuff from the past a lot. I will never grow up. I love the 80s. I love anime, I got into Anime after meeting another anime fan in a Star Wars club about 6 years ago. I am a big fan of shows based on Rumiko Takahashis work. I like a lot of the Drama Romance stuff as well as action oriented Anime. I am into live action Asian Fantasy as well and grew up watching Giant monster movies since I was 4 or 5. Also into the other Fantasy stuff from over there such as Hero shows, Horror and general Sci Fi. I do not like sports at all except for watching lacrosse. Grew up in henrietta till I was 12 moved and graduated in fairport 1993 later moved back to henrietta. |

I actually think the Home Health Care place is on that spot. Anyway, at that drive in, twice, I think, in the Summer of '77, on a double-bill with "Orca: The Killer Whale". A great memory. That Star Destroyer in the beginning was SOOOOO big on the Drive In screen... might as well have been life size! The little box speaker you stuck on your window sucked, though. Wasn't until years later, when I got a decent home theater that I really appreciated the sound of ANH.

I also like comic book heroes and their films, Battlestar Galactica (old and new), I fancy a bit of Trek, X-Files (too bad this franchise is in mothballs...). Bit of a well-rounded sci-fi geek with Star Wars being the main focus of the obsession, 'cause life on this hunk of rock sux.

I can keep a good rhythm going on the drums, but if I "played" anything, it'd have to be the vocal chords. I like to sing a bit, and do a bit of Karaoke once in a while, to the enjoyment of the crowd. Like Wingnut, I also know (quite well) how to work the "instrument" of the DJ Mixing board. It's what I do, y'see?

Misc. Stuff: I've lived a life dissimilar to most people I know, and as a result, have a unique perspective on things. I see the world as a harsh place, made better by the life you live for yourself, and the people you choose to surround yourself with. I hope, when my time in this realm is done, that I will have found that inner calm that eludes me at this point in my existence. I have my fantasy galaxies to escape to, my music to enjoy on this world, and my main hope is that the next plane of existence does not deprive me of the joys of this one.
